Ingredients:

2 T oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large potato, pared and diced
1 t salt
1/2 c carrots, diced
1/4 t pepper
1/2 c french cut green beans
2 T soy sauce
1/2 c cabbage, shredded
1/4 lb pork, diced or ground pork (or), ground beef (basically any meat will work, even chicken)

*if you prefer you can add 1/4 lb. shrimp, diced. Also if you like you can put 1/2 cup of bean sprouts

Procedure:

1. Heat oil, saute garlic and onion. Add pork, saute until fully cooked, drain. Add water, cover and simmer 10 to 15 min.

2. Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Add potato and carrots, saute for 5 min. Add green beans and cabbage (this would be the time to add the shrimp and bean sprouts if you were to use them). Cook stirring 5-10 min. or until vegetables are done. Let cool to room temperature.

3. Wrap filling in Lumpia wrappers. Fry in about 1 inch of hot oil, a couple of minutes on each side, until light golden brown.
