Hard ciders are made from fresh pressed juice of vintage cider apples providing the right balance of sweetness, tannin and acidity. "Good ciders tastes no more like apple juice than wine taste like grape juice," according to Northwest Cider Society who is co-hosting the event with Ivar's Salmon House.
Ron Irvine, founder of Northwest Cider Society, will be on hand to discuss various types from artisan, craft and vintage hard ciders. $25 admission also include seafood hors d'oeuvres to nosh for pairing.
Details: Thursday, November 13, 5:30pm-8:30pm. Ivar's Salmon House, 401 NE Northlake Way, Seattle. Buy tickets online or call 206.587.6500.
